Checked Baggage & Carry On Allowance for Caribbean Airlines

Depending on your destination, the baggage allowance on Caribbean Airlines can vary significantly. Most tickets allow you to check one bag for free. Unless you are traveling internationally, you will be charged for additional checked baggage. There are specific requirements regarding the size, weight and shape of checked baggage.

Hand luggage can be as small as 10 kg (22 lb). Anything over this weight will incur additional charges. You can also choose to travel with one or two personal items, but no more than three. It is recommended to choose lightweight bags for long-haul flights and avoid over-packing. You should also be aware of airline size restrictions. In general, hand luggage cannot exceed 158 cm and 32 kg in combined dimensions. However, you can bring personal item in this case.

However, some things are not allowed in the baggage allowance on Caribbean Airlines flights. You cannot bring sports equipment on board. This includes hang gliding gear, javelins, kayaks, canoes, pole vaulting and windsurfing boards.

Cabin/hand luggage

On all Caribbean Airlines flights, each traveler is permitted to bring one bag with them and one personal item (example: briefcase, backpack or handbag for women).

The dimensions of the Personal Object are (In addition)

Additional charges will apply for carry-on baggage beyond these allowances.

Liquids & Gels in hand luggage

Your carry-on baggage may contain non-flammable liquids and gels not exceeding 100 ml (3.4 ounces). The respective containers cannot exceed 100ml

Folding Stroller & Babies on Lap

Passengers with infants are permitted to use a collapsible stroller or infant carrier on Caribbean Airlines flights. However, space availability may limit the number of seats in the cabin. The child’s parent can also bring 1 special baby bag weighing up to 10 kg.

Baggage requirements

Although suitcases may be included in your free (but not required) checked baggage allowance, please ensure that all checked baggage meets Caribbean Airlines size and weight requirements.

– Maximum weight: 23 kg / 50 lbs
– Maximum linear dimensions (L + W + L): 157 cm / 62 in

Heavy and bulky bags

Luggage exceeding 23 kg can be accepted, but no more than 32 kg. Space availability is a consideration.

Baggage exceeding 157cm in length (L+W+H) may be accepted, but no more than 292cm in linear dimensions, subject to space availability.

Baggage over 32 kg and/or baggage 292 cm or more in linear dimensions will not be eligible for checked baggage.
