AAdvantage is one of the most popular loyalty programs in the world. It allows members to earn miles on American Airlines flights, as well as flights with partners like British Airways and Qantas. But did you know that you can also use your miles to book hotel stays.
Log in to your AAdvantage account
This step is pretty self-explanatory. If you are an AAdvantage member, go to the official website and log in using your credentials.
Search for hotels
Once logged in, click on the ‘Redeem Miles’ tab and select ‘Hotels’. You will be redirected to a page where you can search for hotels by destination, dates and number of guests. The search engine will show you a list of available hotels, along with the number of miles you need to book each one.
Choose a hotel
Browse the list of hotel establishments and choose the one that suits your needs and your budget. Keep in mind that the number of miles required may vary depending on the hotel, the season and the length of your stay.
Proceed to booking
Once you’ve found the offer that’s right for you, you’ll view the booking details and then you’ll be able to see the number of miles required, taxes and fees, and the total amount in miles. If you have enough miles in your account, you can proceed to checkout and confirm your booking.
Enjoy your stay
You have just booked a hotel using your AAdvantage miles. All you have to do is pack your bags and enjoy your stay. Don’t forget to bring your card or AAdvantage membership number, as some hotels may require it upon check-in.
Using your miles to book hotels is therefore a great way to save money on your travels. It’s also a convenient way to use your miles if you don’t have enough for a flight or prefer to use them for other purposes. Remember to book in advance and read the terms and conditions carefully, so you know what to expect.
